Is Bathurst Street going to close? January 16/19 Meeting
January 6, 2019
The Province’s Metrolinx sponsored public town hall about proposed closure of Bathurst St at Eglinton Ave W is scheduled for Wednesday, January 16th Councillor Mike Colle is opposed to the Province’s Metrolinx proposed seven month closure of Bathurst Street at Eglinton Avenue West. “They have shown a total disregard of the community in how they’ve gone about this process which has led me to get involved to fight their plans. Their proposed closure does not have my support and the vast majority of the community is outraged and wants alternatives. Councillor Matlow and I are doing everything we can to get this Provincial agency to respect the community, which has already endured so much.” says Councillor Colle. The Province’s Metrolinx has now scheduled a public town hall consultation about its proposed closure of Bathurst Street at Eglinton Avenue West in response to our opposition.
