Community Meeting – Four One-Day Intersection Closures at Forest Hill Station (Bathurst & Eglinton)

February 17, 2019

When: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Where: Beth Tzedec Congregation, 1700 Bathurst Street, Toronto (Parking available in the lot west of building.)

Metrolinx is holding a community meeting to learn about the four planned weekend intersection closures at Forest Hill Station. You spoke, we listened; these closures are the alternative to the seven-month one-block closure of Bathurst Street proposed in December 2018. Closure details, including traffic impacts and schedule, will be presented, followed by a question and answer period.

The first closure is planned for as early as March 15, 2019, weather dependent. Two of the closures are required to facilitate large concrete pours, and the other two are required to install and remove a traffic bridge that will allow vehicles and pedestrians to travel safely through the intersection while construction continues underneath. The closures will be similar in nature to those that took place at Forest Hill Station in May and October 2018.
