Eglinton Park – Update April 2023

April 14, 2023

We understand planning for updating Eglinton Park continues and ARECA continues to have representation throughout the Consultation Process.

As ARECA currently understands, all playing fields will remain as they are today.  A “skate spot” is planned for the south end of the park, near Eglinton Avenue.  There is also a plan to have a small dog off-leash area to the south of the south baseball diamond.

Near the end of April or into the early part of May, the City will be launching this “phase 2” consultation process which includes updated drawings and an on-line survey.

Construction is currently targeted for the Spring of 2024.

ARECA continues to advocate for the staircase from the east side of the park to be replaced and for lighting in the park.

As always, ARECA will update you as we learn more.
