Eglinton TOday – Updates

May 3, 2023

Below is the most current information from the City with respect to planning for the re-design of Eglinton Avenue.

The public consultation report from the second round of community engagement is now available to review on the project web page (and attached here), and includes feedback received from:

  • Online survey open from February 7, 2023 to March 7, 2023
  • Public Drop-in events February 21 and February 25, 2023 A
  • Stakeholder meetings with residential, business and community organizations
  • Email and phone correspondence

The meeting summary from the Stakeholder Meeting held virtually on February 2, 2023 is also available for review.

While we originally communicated that we would report to the Infrastructure & Environment Committee (IEC) this June, City staff are preparing to first provide a project update to IEC on June 5, 2023 followed by a full report for approval in the fall.

You will be notified before both IEC meetings once the meeting agenda is posted and staff report is made available (one week prior to meeting date). Members of the public can arrange to speak or submit comments to the Committee, and you can learn more about this process.

City staff are also currently reviewing all public feedback received and we will be sharing the design changes that have resulted from ongoing technical analysis and stakeholder feedback in the coming months and before that full report.
