19 Storeys at Eglinton and Castle Knock Road

On April 11th, the City received an application for a Proposed for a 19-storey mixed use building and 7 storey podium with 185 units. Proposed residential gross floor area is 14,642.9 m2, and retail gross floor area is 419.9 m2.

This would run on the north side of Eglinton from where Starbucks is west to the laneway that leads you to the Green P parking lot.

The proposal is for 185 Dwelling units; 84 1-bedroom, 67 2-bedroom and 34 3-bedroom units with 27 long term vehicle parking spaces and 6 short term (non-residential) spots.  209 bicycle parking spots with 167 of those being long term.

Retail space is proposed at street level.

ARECA will be watching this proposal and keep the web site updated as the process unfolds.

Keep in mind what is proposed with Eglinton TOday, fewer traffic lanes, bicycle lanes and it leaves one to wonder how any new builds on Eglinton will safely take place.
